Artificial intelligence in insurance

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly prevalent across various sectors, the insurance industry is adapting to changes at an accelerated pace and integrating these new technologies into a fast-moving business environment. In this session, we will discuss recent developments in AI solutions and exchange ideas on the future outlook for AI through different perspectives. We will highlight potential opportunities, as well as discuss emerging challenges and risks involved in integrating AI into actuarial practice and the insurance industry overall.

Building better society for everybody

To live a long and healthy life is everyone’s dream. However, the reality is often cruel. Not only people in old age, but as well those not being capable to work need either financial or physical assistance. In our culture a lot is expected from the state, which puts a massive pressure on government budget. While everyone agrees that with the ageing population that pressure is growing every year, not many alternative solutions are discussed. Differentiating the contribution based on lifestyle and risk awareness together with increasing the awareness of loss prevention seem to be basis for the alternative risk models. Actuaries are perfectly trained and well equipped to contribute to such discussions and consider alternatives, which are mathematically sound as well as socially accepted.
